My son is 16 and is looking to buy his first car. I have discussed this cash for clunkers program with several dealers. While several of the car dealers appreciated the government (We the People) sponsored cash donations, they pointed out that many of the $3000 cars my son was looking for were to be destroyed, thus reducing his choices. This destruction of perfectly good working capital could only be seen as a good idea by the socialist morons we accidentally elected into office. They pretend to be for the "poor" while actually destroying working autos that are in the price range where the "poor" could get a start and get a car so they can work. But these "social planners" would rather you take a train so they can control your movements and set your transportation costs manned by racist union thugs.
